Holiday Security Tips
If you are going out of town for the holidays, please let your Block Captain
know of the dates and where you can be reached in case of an emergency. Notify
your immediate neighbors also.
Request extra patrol of your address during your absence through Nicole Ebbeskotte at the Sheriff's Office. Also let her know if anyone is looking after
pets or anything around the house, so the deputies will know who can and cannot
be at your house during your absence.
Nicole can be reached at trinick@mindspring.com, work 770 928 0239 or
nlebbeskotte@cherokeega.com.
Do not leave your house completely dark when out of town.
Set front/back porch lights on a timer. It is the cheapest form of security.
Leave a radio on and at least one light on inside the house.
Stop your mail and newspaper service.
After the Holidays, do not advertise your big purchases by the discarded boxes
set out with the trash. Flatten them discreetly.
